ABSTRACT:
A 6 page discussion of the mental condition of one of Shakespeare’s most notable characters. This paper assesses that condition under our modern understanding of depression. The Court physician is notified of Hamlet’s condition in the form of a letter from “The Psychological Association of the Future”. The physician is urged to intervene in the situation before Hamlet’s condition degrades to the point that there is no recovery. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
